Honors Education Abroad/Away

Your participation in an Education Abroad/Away program will enhance your undergraduate experience in many ways. While studying abroad through an approved UConn Education Abroad program, you remain registered at UConn and will likely receive UConn grades and credits.  As early as your first year in college, discuss study abroad with your academic advisors, specifically how it fits into your overall academic plan. All approved courses taken on an approved study abroad program receive UConn course numbers, UConn credits, and UConn grades, which appear on your transcript. Of the 300+ education abroad programs in 65 countries offered by the Education Abroad Office, several are designed for Honors students, and some offer Honors courses as part of the curricula.
