THE HONORS PROGRAM CONGRATULATES...

Congratulations are in order for a recent Honors Program graduate! Donald Briere graduated from the UConn Honors Program in the spring of 2007. During his junior year, he collected data for his thesis project examining the effects of sports programs on special education students’ self concepts. Don Briere’s article titled The Effects of the Unified Sports Basketball Program on Special Education Students’ Self-Concepts: Four Students’ Experiences was recently published in the academic journal Teaching Exceptional Children Plus. The journal article co-written by Del Seigle, associate professor in the NEAG School of Education, was based on this Honors research. Sound interesting? Read the article here.
