A DREAM IN DOUBT DOCUMENTARY SCREENING
The Sikh Student Association (SSA) is hosting a screening of A Dream in Doubt, an incredible documentary that highlights the appearance of hate crimes against those labeled "terrorists" after the events of September 11.
The purpose of this documentary is to promote awareness about the Sikh philosophy amongst the student body to prevent future attacks, as well as to provide resources for those who know about this non-missionary religion.
The documentary has received over 14 international awards. For more information about the film and a trailer, please visit A Dream in Doubt on the web.
The screening will take place on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 7:00 pm in the Jorgenson Center for the Performing Arts and is free for students and open to the general public. A "Q and A" session will follow in which both the director and producer will be present! Attendance at a post screening reception at 8:45 p.m. requires registration by email. Contact SSAUConn@gmail.com with any questions.
