UCONN COLLEGE BOWL IS LOOKING FOR PARTICIPANTS
UConn's newest organization IQConn (a College Bowl club) is looking for enthusiastic participants. College Bowl (a "Jepoardy!" like tournament) began as a nationwide collegiate competition and television show in the 1950s. Even though it's not longer televised, College Bowl has continued to be a tradition in universities across the country. Topics include history, science, art, pop culture, and everything in between. IQConn will hold weekly meetings/practices and distribute study materials to train for this tournament. The top students/groups will have the opportunity to take part in the UConn tournament to determine the team participating in the region wide tournament in the fall.
This group is not expected to be demanding... come and join in on the fun! For more information, please feel free to join the Facebook group "IQConn", or email us at IQConn@gmail.com. Meetings for Fall 2008 are Monday nights at 5pm in the Student Union, the room number is to be determined. If you have already decided that IQConn is for you, please email us and tell us to add you to the list!
