THE HONORS SENIOR SURVEY
As you get closer to being a UConn Honors alum, the Honors Program is asking for your help in continuing to make the program better and better. Please complete the Honors Senior Survey which will take you about 10 minutes --This year we would like to hear from ALL seniors—whether you have completed all requirements to graduate as an Honors Scholar or not. Your responses are confidential and are VERY important to the Honors Program. Please take a few minutes to give us this important information.
****IF YOU COMPLETE THE SURVEY BY THE END OF THE DAY ON MAY 2ND, YOUR NAME WILL BE ENTERED INTO A DRAWING TO WIN ONE OF THREE MYSTERY PRIZES!****
SUBMIT YOUR THESIS ELECTRONICALLY
Seniors, you can submit your thesis electronically and make this significant intellectual achievement available for the world to see! It is highly recommended that as an Honors graduates you post your thesis on DigitalCommons@UConn, the institutional repository. IT’S EASY! Once a hard copy of your thesis has been submitted to the Honors Office with a signed approval form, send a copy of your thesis to honors@uconn.edu as an attachment. Your e-mail should also include: Your name, major, title of your thesis, the name of your thesis advisor, your graduation date, an abstract and 3 to 5 keywords that you feel best describe the subject matter of your thesis! * * * * The first ten students to submit a hard copy of the approved Honors thesis, the thesis approval form, and an electronic copy of their approved theses to the Honors Program as outlined above will receive a $25 UConn Co-op gift certificate from the Honors Program. * * * *
SENIOR SURVEY CONTEST RULES:
* Surveys must be complete and submitted by 11:59 p.m. on May 2, 2008 for students to be considered for the drawing.
* The drawing will be done on Monday, May 5 and prize winners will be contacted via huskymail by noon.
* Students will have 48 hours (does this sound fair?) to respond via email to honors@uconn.edu that they will claim their prize.
* If any prizes are forfeited, additional names will be drawn and winners contacted.
* Prizes must be picked up by May 16, 2008.
HINT: These prizes are musical, tasty, or full of school spirit. They are sure to please the lucky recipient! Check the Honors Senior Survey web site or the Electronic Thesis (Digital Commons) information page for a prize listing on May 1 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Professor Jean Givens invites motivated honors students to enroll in the graduate course "Retail Madness: Shops, Shopping, and Urban Design."
This graduate seminar examines shopping as an historical and contemporary phenomenon: as carefully constructed spectacle, as the site of gendered and class-based entertainment, and as an engine of urban design.. To enroll, contact Professor Givens at jean.givens@uconn.edu!
PATH IS LOOKING FOR NEW STUDENT MENTORS!
Do you have energy, passion and initiative? Would you like to have the opportunity to form a meaningful mentor relationship with an underclassman? Then we want to encourage you to become an Honors Program Mentor with PATH! PATH—Peer Allies Through Honors—is a dynamic group of Honors students who are serving as mentors for incoming Honors freshmen. Keep in mind.. PATH is a flexible time commitment—you and your mentee decide the length and frequency of your meetings. Mentors will receive a brief training session at the start of the semester, which may include Peerfest. Mentoring can be very rewarding, so join PATH today! If interested in serving as a mentor, please complete the information sheet found on the Honors site and email it to PATH at path@uconn.edu! NEW MAY TERM COURSE!
BLAW 3175: The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business
This is a required course for all business students and a recommended course for students interested in attending law school. This course may be difficult to fit into the fall and spring semesters--especially for non-business students, as seats are reserved for business majors! May term seats are not reserved!
