Honors Academic Participation Dismissal Appeal

NOTIFICATION: by early August
DEADLINE: September 8,  2021

Honors students are expected to fully engage in the Honors Program and earning six Honors credit per academic year as part of the participation requirement.  All Honors students must earn (6) Honors credits per academic year, with exceptions granted for studying abroad or internship experience for the entire academic year.

Important If you received an email from the Honors Program in August 2021 about not meeting Minimum Honors Credit Requirements for the 2020-2021 Academic Year, you must fill out and submit the form below to appeal your dismissal from the Honors program.

Please complete the appropriate section and submit the form below by the due date, 11:59 p.m. on September 8, 2021 to let us know your situation. This is a firm deadline, if the Honors office does not receive the form documenting your Honors Participation, you will be dismissed from the Honors Program.  

Section 1 of the form – This is an opportunity for you to tell us about previous Honors or graduate work, earning a B- or above, that is not yet reflected accurately on your transcript, or

Section 2 of the form – Your plans for earning Honors credit or completing graduate work in the fall semester, or

Section 3 of the form – If you have decided to withdraw from the Honors Program.

Important Note:

Please know while we will make every effort to review your appeal as soon as possible, it may not be reviewed immediately upon receipt. Please note that all University employees are mandated reporters of child abuse or child neglect. In addition, UConn employees have responsibilities to report to the Office of Institutional Equity student disclosures of sexual assault and related interpersonal violence; any information you submit in this appeal is subject to UConn reporting policies.
