Honors STEM Scholar Advisor
Dr. Coral Fernandez-Illescas is the Honors STEM Scholar Advisor at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. As such, she is primarily involved with the advising of STEM Scholar students and other Honors students in STEM fields towards their development and success.
Dr. Coral Fernandez-Illescas holds a Ph.D. and a M.A. from Princeton University’s Environmental Engineering and Water Resources Program and a Master’s of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London. Most recently, she has practiced STEM worldwide as Principal Water Resources/Lead Water and Sanitation Specialist for the Asian Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, based in the Philippines and/or Washington, DC. Prior to that Dr. Fernandez-Illescas was Allston Burr Senior Tutor and Lecturer on Engineering Sciences at Harvard University.
