STEM Scholar Advisor
Mr. Jason Gordon is an Honors Program STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Scholar Advisor. The STEM Scholar Advisors serve as supplementary advisors to students with the STEM Scholar scholarship designation as well as all Honors students with a STEM major or interest.
Jason’s role is to connect students to opportunities in and out of the classroom as well as within and beyond UConn and to support them in their growth and development as the next generation of innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers. He coordinates events, programs, courses, and opportunities to support students, and works closely with the Honors and Enrichment team, departments on campus, and partners beyond UConn to help students explore areas of interest including leadership and professional development, research, education abroad, and internships.
Jason received a B.A. in Psychological Sciences from the University of Connecticut (2011) and continued on at UConn to earn his Masters in Ecological Psychology (2017). As a graduate assistant and Instructor on Record, he taught courses in Experimental Psychology and Statistics and has a passion for advising and facilitating undergraduate research opportunities across all STEM majors.
Jason is co-director of the Honors to Opportunities (H2O) Learning Community.
