Louis Lombardi is director of the University of Connecticut actuarial program. He has more than 25 years of experience within the insurance industry and is a member of both the Society of Actuaries and the American Academy of Actuaries.
He has served on numerous committees and has published several articles. The article “Relationships between Statutory and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)”, Transactions, Volume XL, Part I, 1988 was recognized as “Best Paper Published in 1988” by the Society of Actuaries. He was also the founder of the Triton reserve valuations system which calculates statutory, tax, and GAAP reserves for more than 50 life insurance companies.
