Merit Scholarships

Most Honors students are recipients of the merit scholarships offered through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. These renewable awards are given to high school seniors with a record of high academic achievement and leadership.  While not guaranteed, Honors students are likely recipients due to their academic and co-curricular profiles.

If you are interested in learning more about scholarships, below we have listed a brief summary of the awards given by Undergraduate Admissions. Some awards are specifically for CT applicants, while others are for either in-state or out-of-state applicants. All questions about the selection for these awards should be directed to Undergraduate Admissions. Students may appeal their scholarships via their applicant portal. Priority consideration for many of these awards is given to incoming first year students who complete the University of Connecticut application by December 1 or earlier, but some applications have earlier UConn application deadline and required supplemental forms. See Admissions page for details.
