Giving to UConn Honors

Since 1964, the UConn Honors Program has served thousands of extraordinary student's and families. We hope the Honors Program has been valuable in shaping your or your student’s collegiate experience. We strive to keep our students constantly engaged and challenged, or "whelmed!" as Director Dr. Jen Lease Butts would say. But we cannot do it alone. Many of the opportunities offered by the Honors Program are the direct result of donor support. We have used given funds to support original research, fund study abroad & internships, fill tuition gaps, and so much more.

Your generosity has the power to shape the future of the UConn Honors legacy. From increasing professional opportunities to fostering a strong sense of community, your donations help students thrive academically, socially, and personally.  Your support is more than a donation—it’s a commitment to a thriving community where students past, present, and future find belonging, support, and opportunity.

As our Program continues to grow, so too do the needs of our students. It is the collective generosity of our alumni and friends that ensures the continued success of the Honors Program. No amount is too small. No gift is unappreciated. Your support will provide opportunity and promote belonging among Honors students today and far into the future. (Please note that the fiscal year ends June 30.)

Donate to UConn Honors Today!

Here are some funds you can donate to:

The Honors General Fund: This is our most flexible fund which allows us to meet the needs of honors students as they arise. We have used this fund to fill gaps in tuition funding, support travel abroad, provide passport assistance, and much more.
The Young Honors Alumni Fund: The YHAF was started by UConn Honors alumni like yourself to support honors student groups. These funds help us to provide support to our student organizations to fund events, trips, and other related opportunities.
The Dr. John Tanaka Academic Enhancement Fund for Honors: This fund was created in honor of former Honors Program Director Dr. John Tanaka. It primarily supports honors students in their pursuit of thesis projects, conferences, and travel abroad.
Dr. Lynne Goodstein and Dr. Peter Langer Award: This fund was established by Dr. Lynn Goodstein, former Honors Director, and Dr. Peter Langer, UConn Honors alum. This award is used to honors outstanding contributions to undergraduate advising by faculty and staff.
Honors Thesis Endowment in Political Science: This fund is used to support Political Science Honors students in pursuing their thesis in Political Science.
