     Holster Scholar Program Information Session

    The Holster Scholar Program is a selective enrichment opportunity available only to curious first-year Honors students. The program supports a small number of students who wish to complete independent research, design, or creative projects in the summer following their first year at UConn.

    First-year Honors students who are interested are welcome to join us in the Buckley Classroom at 7:00PM on Monday, September 25 for an introduction to the program followed by a Q&A. The session will be led by Dr. Vin Moscardelli, Director of the Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships and Coordinator of the Holster Scholar Program.

    Dr. Jennifer Roberts, a renowned scholar, author and professor from the University of Maryland is headlining this important dialogue on the racialization of nature, health equity and discrimination in the outdoors.

    The title of her lecture is “We are each other’s harvest. We are each other’s magnitude and bond. Understanding the Racialization of Nature.” Following the lecture, a diverse panel will discuss elemental themes relevant to the lecture.

    This program is made possible by NatureRx and is apart of their I Thrive Naturally Program as well as the Undergraduate Student Government.
