    Stop by the Honors and Enrichment Programs Office at UConn Stamford (room 201) during the last week of classes pick up a free goodie bag! The Honors GPS team will be there Monday 12/4, 10am-2pm; Wednesday 12/6, 10am-1pm; Thursday 12/7, 1pm-4:30pm; and Friday 12/8, 11am-1pm to distribute the bags. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a few destressing activities.

    The Summer Undergraduate Research Fund (SURF) Award program provides thousands of dollars in support of undergraduate students’ summer research and creative projects. The SURF program is open to undergraduate students in all majors at all campuses who plan to graduate no earlier than December 2024. Students can apply for funding of up to $4,500 per student.     This event will go over the basics of Experimental Global Learning (EGL) at UConn and the Gilman scholarship, a national scholarship for study abroad, as well as other means of financial assistance. We will go over all parts of the study abroad process, from selecting a program to arriving back home. This workshop will also highlight the Gilman application process, including essay examples and advice for a strong application.

     Health Research Program Information Session

    The Health Research Program offers a pathway into undergraduate research for students with interests in health and the biomedical sciences. By facilitating connections between UConn Health researchers and UConn undergraduates, this program involves more students in the cutting-edge research at the Farmington campus. The Health Research Program includes a combination of academic year and summer research opportunities, offering undergraduates and their faculty mentors a structure for sustained engagement in research projects, maximizing student learning and preparation for graduate study and/or careers in the health professions.

Additionally, anyone who attends this event will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card. The purpose of this to be relaxing activity for students and a way to give back to the community.
