Aanvi Agrawal – Sophomore in Molecular and Cell Biology and Psychological Sciences
Aanvi is a sophomore from North Attleboro, MA double majoring in a Molecular and Cell Biology and Psychological Science with a minor in Chemistry on the pre-med track. At UConn, she is an UNIV 1784 facilitator, secretary for Knit for NICU, undergraduate representative for the Indian Student Association, and social media chair for UConn Udaan. She is also an undergraduate research assistant in the Jung Lab at Storrs and did research at UConn Health. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, going on walks, and spending time with friends. Aanvi is a first-year Honors GPS, and is looking forward to helping Honors students and meeting new first-year students. |

Olivia Amodeo – Junior in Molecular and Cell Biology
Olivia Amodeo is a junior from Wethersfield, CT, studying molecular and cell biology. In the Honors Program, she is part of the Special Program in Medicine and the STEM Scholars community. On campus, she is vice president of UConn Ski and Snowboarding Club. At UConn Health, she is part of the Heinen Lab at the Center for Molecular Oncology, which researches cancer-associated variants in mismatch repair genes. Outside of UConn, she is a Duke University PRIME-Cancer Research Program Scholar and will be involved in continued professional development during the academic year. In her free time, Olivia enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, skiing, going to concerts, and trying new coffee shops. This is Olivia’s second year as an Honors GPS and she looks forward to continuing to work with students this year! |

Josephine Burke – Sophomore in Political Science and Human Rights
Josephine is a sophomore from Naugatuck, CT majoring in Political Science and Human Rights. At UConn, Josephine assists with the Tribal Educational Initiative as a Political Science Honors Bennett Research Assistant, interns with the Connecticut Sentencing Commission of the UConn Insititute for Municipal & Regional Policy, and is part of the Scholars Collective as a Nutmeg Scholar. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going for long walks, trying out new coffee shops, and spending time with friends. Josephine is a first-year Honors GPS and is excited to help fellow Honors students with their college experiences! |

Mehr Chhatre – Junior in Chemical Engineering
Mehr is a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Global Studies. On campus she is president of UConn iGEM, DEI Officer for UConn Society of Women Engineers and is a dancer and Pan-Asian Council Representative for Husky Bhangra. She also conducts research on campus in Shor Lab focused on analyzing the impact of microplastics within the soil ecosystem. In her free time Mehr loves to watch Bollywood movies, spend time with friends and family, visit art museums, and travel (just recently did a study abroad in Switzerland). This is Mehr’s second year on the GPS team and she is super excited to help support other Honors students around campus! |

Maria Choudhry– Senior in Allied Health Sciences
Maria is a senior from Derby, CT majoring in Allied Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Sciences on the pre-med track. In Honors at UConn, Maria has experience as a UNIV facilitator, Peer Allies through Honors Mentor, and has been a part of the Honors Student Leadership Board – Stamford (HSLB-Stamford) for three years. She is the co-founder and Vice President of Huskies for Pre-Med/Pre-Dental at UConn Stamford, the PATH Mentoring Program Coordinator for HSLB-Stamford, and a youth teacher for Tahir Academy at the Baitul Aman Mosque. Maria is a CNA and an EMT and after graduating is hoping to attend medical school to become an OB/GYN. In her free time, Maria loves long drives, listening to music, traveling, and likes to spend time with friends and family. Maria is a second-year Honors GPS at UConn Stamford and UConn Waterbury and is so excited to help Honors students through their journey at UConn. |

Ava Dell’Orfano – Junior in Digital Media and Design
Ava is a junior from Durham, CT, majoring in Digital Media and Design concentrating in Film and Video Production and minoring in Communications. In addition to being an Honors GPS, she is the Treasurer for Page to Stage Productions. In her free time, Ava enjoys watching movies, singing, making art, and hanging out with her friends. She is so excited to be back with the GPS team this year and looks forward to supporting her fellow Honors students! |

Isabella Friedrich– Junior in Management
Bella is a junior from Austin, TX studying Management with a minor in Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. On campus, she is an Honors Ambassador Coordinator, an active member and choreographer for the UConn Dance Company and an on-air radio DJ at the WHUS radio station! Off campus, Bella works with the Entertainment Lab, an Acting and Literary Management Agency, as a Talent Management Intern. During her free time, you can find Bella at the gym, choreographing in a studio, puzzling with her friends, or discovering new towns in the Northeast! Bella is incredibly excited to start her first year as an Honors GPS and help students through their Honors experiences. |

Katherine Gutierrez – Sophomore in Political Science and Human Rights
Katherine is a sophomore from Willimantic, CT in the Special Program in Law pursuing a double major in Political Science and Human Rights. At UConn, she is a research assistant in the Mariposa Research Collective, part of the scholar’s collective as a Day of Pride Scholar, a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, a UNIV facilitator for a First Year Honors Seminar course. She is also a former Political Science Bennett Research Assistant. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running or spending time with her family & friends. Aidan Karpicz – Senior in History and Secondary Education
Aidan is a senior from Berkley, MA studying History and Secondary Education with a minor in Anthropology. On campus, he is President of the UConn Running Club and Co-Vice President of UConn Future Educators, student-teaches at E.O. Smith High School, works at the Connecticut Hall game room. In his free time, Aidan enjoys running, reading, watching football and basketball, trying out local restaurants, and spending time with friends and family. Aidan is returning for his second year on the Honors GPS Team and is thrilled to continue helping Honors students achieve their academic and extracurricular goals! |

Katherine Kuhl – Junior in Allied Health Sciences
Katie is a junior from Essex, MA studying Allied Health Sciences with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. On campus, she is also a Peer Allies Through Honors Mentor and part of the Genome Ambassador Program. Off campus, she works in operations and development for a nonprofit biotech company. When she’s not working or studying, Katie enjoys spending time with her friends and her dogs and loves having reality TV marathons. Katie looks forward to helping students achieve their goals in the Honors Program! |

Keely Rodriguez – Senior in Human Development and Family Sciences
Keely is a senior majoring in Human Development & Family Sciences on the Stamford campus. While being in Honors, Keely has been involved in Peer Allies Through Honors (PATH) as a mentor to first-year students in the program. She has also been part of the Honors Student Leadership Board as a Student Engagement Strategist to help create opportunities for students on campus to get involved and focuses on first-year students. She also served as president of Huskies for Charity which involves volunteering on campus and in the community through non-profits organizations in the Stamford area. Keely also works at the Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills as a Career Ambassador to inform students of the resources on campus that help with career coaching, resume critiquing, and practice interviews to attract students to help them realize their potential in their career of interest. In her free time Keely loves to attend and teach Zumba classes, read, go on road trips, and travel. This is Keely’s first year serving in Honors GPS and she is excited to give back to the community of students. |

Giavanna Scognamiglio – Sophomore in Psychological Sciences
Giavanna is a sophomore from Long Island, NY majoring in Psychological Science and minoring in Crime and Justice. At UCONN, she is a UNIV facilitator for the First Year Honors Seminar Course, a Honors/Husky Ambassador, the Director of Service and Panhellenic Delegate for her sorority Phi Sigma Rho, a member of Panhellenic’s Junior Panhellenic Council, and participates in HuskyTHON here on campus. On her free time, Giavanna likes to listen to music, going on walks, and hanging out with all of my friends. Angel Shah – Junior in Physiology and Neurobiology
Angel is a Junior from Walpole, MA majoring in Physiology and Neurology on a Pre-Pa track. At UConn, Angel is a research assistant at Sharp Lab focusing on the associations between cultural tightness and Science Denialism on Flu Vaccination Rates, and assisting in research at UConn Health on pre-clinical models of breast cancer. She is also the volunteer coordinator for the Pre-Physician Assistant Patient Care Alliance, on the student leadership board for CLAS, and part of the Stem Scholar Community. In her free time, she enjoys watching TV shows, spending time at the beach, hanging out with friends, and traveling (she studied abroad in Florence, Italy last semester). Angel is a first-year Honors GPS and is excited to help fellow Honors students with their college experiences! |

Yana Tartakovskiy – Senior in Healthcare Management
Yana is a senior majoring in Healthcare Management with a minor in Political Science. She is from Brooklyn, NY. In her free time, you can find Yana on the Mock Trial Team, playing volleyball with her friends, or on a walk listening to Coldplay. Yana is very involved in research on campus, specifically about women’s reproductive health. Last semester Yana studied abroad in Florence, Italy and got to visit 10 different countries. |

Alex Wynne – Senior in Political Science and Music
Alex is a Senior from Stamford, CT pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and Music with a minor in Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, on a Pre-Law Track. On campus, she plays the violin in the UConn Symphony Orchestra, is a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, and is currently involved in her own research regarding the power of music in the Civil Rights movement. In her free time, you can find her playing Mario Kart with her friends, playing her violin, and grabbing coffee downtown! She is excited for her second and final year on the GPS team as a Senior Honors GPS! |
