Welcome to the Honors Program at the University of Connecticut!
Honors Orientation helps you prepare for your first semester, connect with the Honors community, and understand what it means to be an Honors student at UConn.
Because UConn has multiple campuses, Honors Orientation experiences and advising processes vary by campus. Use this page to find the right information for you and to stay up to date on Honors-wide Orientation announcements.
Find Your Honors Orientation by Campus
Each Honors Orientation campus page includes details about preparing for your Honors Orientation session, registering for classes, and next steps after Orientation.
Finding Your Balance in Honors
Honors is a place to explore ideas that spark your curiosity, create work that reflects your interest and values, and lead in ways that grow over time. As you begin your journey at UConn, you’ll be encouraged to find a balance that supports both challenge and well-being as you take advantage of new opportunities.
We call this approach Stay Whelmed – a way of thinking about Honors that values curiosity, connection, and balance as much as achievement.
You’ll hear more about this approach during Orientation and throughout your first year in Honors.
