The Honors Program oversees a number of specialized cohort programs for relatively small groups of Honors students. The mission of each one of these programs is unique, but they share a common vision: provide participants with opportunities for academic, social, and professional enrichment related to their chosen area of interest.
As part of these specialized cohort programs, students are closely mentored by caring and experienced Honors and Enrichment staff members. They also meet regularly with their groups and sometimes take classes especially designed for their interests.
Some of the programs, such as the Holster and Rowe scholars programs, are the result of generous gifts from alumni and friends of the Honors Program, while others are the result of collaborations between the Honor Program and the UConn schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Law.
