At Orientation, here’s how we’ll help you stay whelmed:

  • Get oriented to UConn with your fellow Huskies and fellow Honors Huskies; learn more about planning for your fall 2026 schedule
  • Honors Registration
    • An Honors Orientation advisor will help you register for Fall 2026 classes, taking into account your interests and any credits you may be bringing in. Be sure to:
      • Complete your Interactive Advising Worksheet prior to Orientation
      • Review your IAW & the info you receive on Day 1
    • Honors is a layer to Common Curriculum/major requirements (not a requirement on top of)
      • Recommended Course Load: 12-16 credits total for fall semester
      • Within those 12-16 credits, UNIV 1784 Honors First-year Seminar, plus 1 additional Honors course*
        • *Note: you will discuss your Honors course options with your Honors Orientation advisor during Honors Advising & Registration. These options may include courses that help you earn Honors credit toward your intended major, the Common Curriculum, and/or the University Honors Laureate award. You should plan to take just one Honors course this fall in addition to UNIV 1784. Remember: You’re just getting started! You don’t need to complete all your Honors or Common Curriculum requirements this year – just begin making progress.
