You are about to begin an amazing journey and we are thrilled that you have chosen to take it with us! Each year a new group of first-year students joins the Honors family and makes UConn a home away from home. The following items will help you to get off to a good start in your next chapter of your life.

UConn Honors Bound EventsJoin us for a variety of options where you will  engage with our Honors staff and current students. Dates and details will be provided to students admitted to the Honors Program in early-April. Select from in-person and virtual Honors Panel presentations or join us online for an Honors Husky Hangout session.

Enrollment Fee: Due May 1st
To confirm your enrollment, you must pay the enrollment fee to UConn. Visit Admissions for details and instructions.

Honors First-Year Reply Form: Available March 1st; Due May 1st
Secure your space in the Honors Program. Let us know about your decision to attend UConn in the Honors Program by completing this form by the deadline. Contact us with questions.

Sign up for New Student Orientation: Details will be sent via email beginning in late-April after your enrollment fee is received. As an Honors student, the Orientation program will be designed to get you ready for entering your school or college and the Honors Program.

Housing Application:

First-year students attending UConn Storrs who will live on campus must complete all portions of the housing application according to the Residential Life web page: Storrs New Student Central. First-year students are strongly encouraged to complete Part 1 by May 15th.

Housing Roommate Requests:
You may request a roommate for housing through the online “MyHousing” system. Information is available at Storrs New Student Central.

UConn Honors First Summer: Get a strong start at UConn by applying to join the UConn First Summer program, which includes options to complete Honors Core and general education courses.

Health History Form: Due July 1st
Submit your Health History Form by July 1, including proof of mandatory immunizations.

Add/Drop/Swap: Begins July 21st
Contact your advisor with questions about your schedule and make any necessary adjustments to your schedule through the Student Administration System.

First-year Move-In Day: TBD

First day of fall 2022 classes: Monday August 29th

UConn Honors Bound Events: Join us for a variety of options to engage with Honors staff and current students. Dates and details will be provided to students admitted to the Honors Program in early-April. Select from a virtual panel specific to Honors at UConn Stamford or the Honors Program overall, or join for an Honors Husky Hangout session. Current Honors student(s) and/or Honors staff from the Stamford campus will be represented at all events.

First-year students attending UConn Stamford who would like to live on campus must complete all portions of the housing application according to the Residential Life web page: Stamford New Student Central. 

Note: If you would like to live on campus, please submit the Housing Application ASAP for consideration; it is not required to submit your Enrollment Fee to UConn Stamford before applying for housing so submit your Housing Application ASAP. Honors first-year students who live on campus are placed in the Honors First-Year Residential Community, which is on the 2nd floor of 900 Washington at UConn Stamford.
